
Hi! My name is Garth Travis and I’m an Australian Environment Artist from Melbourne Australia. I am currently living in Vancouver and working as a Senior Environment Artist for The Coalition on the Gears of War franchise. I have had 14 years of professional industry experience in AAA, independent and mobile studios. I specialize in modern environment art workflows including techniques such as hard surface modelling, PBR texturing, photogrammetry, modular level construction, world building, Zbrush sculpting and tileable texture creation.
I have worked in a variety of studios including The Coalition (Gears Of War), Sledgehammer Games (Call Of Duty), EA DICE (Battlefield), MachineGames (Wolfenstein), Grinding Gear Games (Path Of Exile), Starbreeze Studios (Crossfire) and EA Firemonkeys (Sims, Need For Speed and Star Wars mobile titles).
I have also completed an Advanced Diploma Of Professional Game Art (2 years) at The Academy Of Interactive Entertainment (AIE) in Melbourne (2010-2012).
